We are pleased to announce that recent graduates of RISD have secured many large studio spaces in Bushwick area, Brooklyn.  We would like to first offer this opportunity to our fellow classmates at RISD as we can personally vouch for the spaces cleanliness, affordability, and professional atmosphere.  These are the only studio spaces that i know of that require a portfolio to ensure quality tenants to maintain a professional atmosphere for those committed to career in the arts.  The current tenants are all art school graduates that organize periodical studio visits and exhibitions for the building.  The next event being held will be at Bushwick Open Studios.  These studios have been open for less than a year and have already been featured in NY Magazine, L Magazine, and Hyperallergic. 

Overview

The Curbs and Stoops Active Space pro­vides a nur­tur­ing envi­ron­ment for work­ing artists who rent indi­vid­ual stu­dio spaces. To ensure both high qual­ity work and pro­fes­sional com­mit­ment, artists are juried through a sup­ported appli­ca­tion and review process. The goal of the space is to pro­vide artists with an excit­ing, thought-​provoking cre­ative envi­ron­ment. Selected artists par­tic­i­pate in open stu­dios and other events shar­ing our process with the greater com­mu­nity of Bushwick.
