Hi all,
I'm a recent Brown grad who's been working in NYC for the past two years.
I've actually returned to Providence to start a business, so I'm sadly
moving out of my Fort Greene apartment.
It's the largest bedroom in a 3-person, 2-floor apartment with a large
shared space. Big windows to backyard garden. It's more like a college
hill apt than a NYC one, and I mean that in the best way possible. $1100/mo
for the room, and rent is month-to-month. Your two roommates would be a
freelance graphic designer (
www.matthewlettini.com) and an NYU grad student
from India, both male.
Your room:
- Big! About 20'x12'
- Two sunny windows facing the garden inside of the block
- Walk-in closet
The apartment:
- two floors (bedrooms are on top floor)
- nice-sized living room
- dining room
- separate kitchen
- washing machine (dryer function not currently working, but you can
hang-dry or head to the cleaners around the corner)
- dishwasher
- spacious bathroom with tile flooring and a claw-foot tub
Location details:
Very close to Fort Greene Park (with a nice Saturday morning farmers'
market), a Crunch gym, Long Island University, and BAM. We are also near
Target and a 24-hour Pathmark (both at Atlantic Center) as well as the
Fulton Mall. Nearby are bodegas, great restaurants, bars, shopping, Brooklyn
Flea, etc.
One of the best parts is proximity to transportation--probably about the
best in Brooklyn:
Many trains surround the apartment including the B M Q R (DeKalb station), G
(Fulton station), 2 3 4 5 (Nevins station), N D (Atlantic-Pacific station),
C (Lafayette station), & A (Hoyt-Schermerhorn station). Stations range from
3-7 blocks away. About 15 minutes to Union Sq., 20 to Times Sq on the Q.
